What Is The Cause Of Stomach Pain?

I've had the implanon for about 6-7 months and for the past 2 weeks I've been getting pains in my belly and across my lower back, just a couple of days ago my nipples started to become sore and would hurt when I touch them, is this a side effect off the implanon?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Implant can cause breast congestion and abdominal pain. You can go for an ultrasound abdomen to look for any congestion or heaviness in uterus and ovaries. As of now you can take analgesics like Mefenemic acid (Meftal ) for symptomatic relief. Drink plenty of water and take adequate rest.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain
