What Is The Cause Of Stuffed Nose?

i am stuffed up, headache and when I blow my nose there is thick dark green mucus. I am short of breath, but I think thats because I am stuffed up. This has been going on for 5 days and Musinex has offered no relief. Is this just a cold virus that will pass on its own, or should I see my doctor?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms ot stuffy nose which is due to viral/ bacterial infection inside body leading to common cold/flu. Impaired immunity of body is contributing factor for your condition. Need not to worry. You should visit ENT specialist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper prescription. You should take nasal saline rinses. Take steam inhalation as well. Nasal sprays along with antiinflammatory medications will be most beneficial for you. Avoid intake of cold liquids. You should maintain oral hygiene. Do warm saline gargles.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
