What Is The Cause Of Swelling In Face Under Left Ear?

For no specific reason, my face just under my left ear swelled and became sore. Over the past few hours the swelling has gone down some, but it is still sore. I'm thinking I have a swelling of a lypth node. Is this possible and if so, what could be the cause and what can I do for it?

Hi,
From history there can be two problems having this type of swelling,
1,Acute parotitis (mumps ), or
2,Enlarge lymph node.
Consult your doctor and get examined.
If there is infection in ears or near by area you can get enlarge painful lymph node.
Go for one antibiotic medicine course for 3-5 days.
Ok and take care.
