Hi there,
The swelling you are having under your arms should be further evaluated physically to determine its nature:
- infection of local hair roots
- lymph-nodes
At your age, the swelling is more related to infection of local hair roots. Antibiotics are mostly prescribed. Penicillin drugs are the first choice. You can discuss it further with your physician.
Sometimes, when swelling and pain become unbearable, local surgical incision is carried out to drain pus.
If I was your caring doctor, would prescribe a course of injection antibiotics until see the changes in the swelling. If pus is ready to get drained, would drain it and go on with
oral antibiotics for long periods (up to 1 month).
I also advise to:
- not to share your rolling deodorants with others
- do not share your utensils with others
- keep a good local hygiene
- do not apply shaving to remove local hair.
Hope it helped!
