What Is The Cause Of Swollen Lymph Nodes In Groin?

hey....i have had swollen lymph nodes in my groin for about 12 months now and have recently devoloped them in my neck and under both arms. i am a heavy smoker and i have bad skin [acne, which has been blamed for my groin nodes] is it unusual for all of my nodes to swell just because of acne on my face neck and chest?

OB & GYN Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

The swelling of groin node often does not indicate disease. It may be because of walking in bare foot also. But if the swelling persists, you need to see the doctor and do some tests like complete hemogram and others (like tuberculosis testing) to find out the cause.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sujoy Dasgupta, OB & GYN Specialist
