What Is The Cause Of Swollen Red Dot At The Back Of The Tongue?
Hi, i have a small red tiny dot on only one of my circumvallate papillae on the surface at the back of my tongue, i understand these papillae things are normal but this one had become a little swollen and now has a red dot like its been scraped, i can also feel a weird feeling like theres something stuck at the back of my throat, i also have tonsillitis, is this red dot thing harmful or dangerous?
I have read your query swollen red dot at back of tongue can be due to inflammation of taste buds or due to tonsilitis . For this I will suggest you to consult oral surgeon or Ent surgeon for clinical examination anf evaluation . Inmeantime do warm saline gargle 2 to 3 times a day .
Hope this will help you .
