What Is The Cause Of Very Light Periods ?

hi, my last period was very light and lasted about 3 days as opposed to the usual 5 day....now i have slight bleeding this is the tenth day. took pregnancy tests all negative. i am not using any contraception, just condoms and i am 28 .What could be the cause

Hello,
Scanty menstruation , light bleeding , irregular bleeding as in your case may be due to these possibilities , these includes.
1 Poly Cystic Ovarian Disease or PCOD , as this is the most common cause of such symptoms as you mentioned in your query. Diagnosis can be confirmed by ultrasound of both ovaries .
2 Hormonal imbalance is the another most common cause of such irregular or scanty menstruation.Diagnosis can be confirmed by assessment of estorgen , androgen and FSH/ LH ratio.
3 Tension or anxiety of pregnancy may be the another such cause , so if have tension , please get rid of this.
4 Uterine disorder , get in an ultrasound of uterus for any fibroid .
In my opinion first of all consult GYNECOLOGIST and get his opinion as mentioned above.
