What Is The Complete Cure For Abscessed Pimple On Cheek?

I had an abscessed pimple on cheek in october 2011. the dr prescribed antibiotics via IV. unfortunately it didnt work and the dr had to remove it surgically. its been along time since the incident however, ever since, the spot where my IV was (in the crook of elbow on my left arm). A vein sticks out and looks bruised and swollen. It didnt happen very often but has become more frequent since i had the IV.

Hi,

Thanks for consulting HealthcareMagic!

It is a common finding in some patients after IV infusion. However, it would have been managed during that time itself with some Heparin Sodium containing ointments. However, a Physical examination is mandatory now, to assess this since there are variety of other causes that needs to be ruled out.

Hope I have answered your query.
