Hello
I have gone through your question.

Hyperthyroidism can affect multiple organ systems including the hepatic systems.
This means that the thyroid and liver are intertwined in many ways and the hepatic dysfunction is commonly observed in patients with thyroid disease.

For this reason a vigilant effort should be undertaken to diagnose the liver condition of patients who present with hyperthyroidism and liver dysfunction so
the appropriate therapy can be promptly initiated.

My answer id :Yes,it is a connection between elevated liver enzimes and hyperthyroidism.
I agree with your hepatologist opinion about the CT scan and liver biopsy.

These investigations will give a lot of important information about your actual liver condition and can be very helpful to take the right decision about the right treatement for the hyperthyroidism and for your hepatic disfunction.

Hope this information is helpful.
Thanks for using HCM.
Best regards.
