What Is The Connection Between Headaches And Chocolate?

I have a friend who developed headaches in the past 6 months. They have been monitoring his blood pressure and finally on questioning found that he likes to eat chocolate. They have advised him to discontinue the chocolate for right now. What is the connection between headaches and chocolate?

Hello,
Thank you for your question and welcome to Health Care Magic. I read your query and I understand your concern and the anguish that you are having.

In some people, anything can act as a trigger factor for a headache. There is a chance that cocoa in chocolate can be causing the issue. If stopping the chocolate stops the headaches then you can be sure it is because of the chocolate.

Hope this helps you. Feel free to clarify further.
