What Is The Correct Way To Take Microgynon 20?

im 20, 155cm, 45kg and i had an abortion on the 25th of november. i started microgynon 20 the next day, towards the end of week 3, i needed to delay my period for a few days, so i skipped the white tablets and continued the next pack in the green section till monday. then i took a white tablet in the same pack on the monday night. i dont think this is correct, i did have sexual activity a few days before, what should i do?

Hi,
You have been taking Microgynon correctly. It is clever of you to start the next pack in green section without using white tablets of the first pack
to delay your period.
Now that you started white tablets from Monday continue them for seven days. You should get your period during these seven days. Start a new pack on the very next day of completing the white pills.

If you have taken Micrigynon regularly as per instructions then it is a very effective contraceptive method ( > 99%). The sexual activity you have had few days before is unlikely to result in pregnancy.
However since there is a small risk of contraceptive method failure (<1%), if you don't get period during the week of taking white tablets , get a pregnancy test done. I hope I have answered to your satisfaction. If you have any further queries do contact me through HealthcareMagic

You have to take first pill on firestorm day or fifth day of menstrual cycle and continue taking tablet daily for one month.
