Endocrinologist 's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to HCM. I have gone through your question and understand your concern.

What you are having a mild decrease in thyroid function. A small dose of thyroxine tablet can bring your thyroid function to normal and can help you to decrease weight.

If I were your treating physician I would have checked your cholesterol and thyroid antibodies values - if it is high it is another indication to start you on medications.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help
With warm regards,
Dr Ajish TP (MD,DM)
Consultant Endocrinologist.
