my son 12 years suffering from fever, cold & cough. Firstly paracetamol was given but no effect. Then as per the previous doctor s prescription Truclar 250 & Levolin inhaler was administered from today. Slight improvement but occasional cough is there and he can t sleep for this breathing problem.

Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

It can take 7 to 10 days to recover for the cold. In some cases the cough can persist for 6 weeks.

Medication can decrease the symptoms but would not cause them to go completely.
You may want to ensure the he is receiving 15 mg for each kg of weight. It should be given every 4 to 6 hours if needed.

You can consider the use of a decongestant anti histamine combination to help with the nasal congestion. These would be available over the counter.

I hope this helps
