What Is The Difference Between Bupropion HCL Sr And XL?

Hi, what is the difference in Bupropion HCL Sr and XL. I only take 1 150 ml a day and it needs to last all day. Which one should I be taking? I also take a low dose of Duloxetine HCL DR 30m mg. The combination works the best for depressions and my mood swings.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

SR stands for sustained release and xL is extended release. Both are released slowly but the SR is released slowly over 12 hours and the XL is released over a 24 hour period.

For an effect to be sustained over a 24 hour period, you would need the xl.

I hope this helps
