TIA or mini stroke results from a small blood clot causing symptoms of stroke but lasts only 24 hours. The importance of this, is that if you don't do some thing about it, you are more likely to have CVA or stroke in the future. CVA is a stoke ( part of the brain has been damaged irreversibly). Hope that helps
