What Is The Difference Between Verapamil ER And Verapamil SR?

What is the difference between Verapamil 120 mg. ER capsules and Verapamil 120 mg. SR capsules? I am taking Verapamil for high blood pressure and PACs and was recently given the SR capsules instead of the ER capsules. When asked, the pharmacist told me they were one and the same; just a different manufacturer. Thank you.

Hi there. It is good that you show concern about your health and treatment.
Verapamil ER (extended release) and SR (slow release) are both the same and the ER and SR all mean the same thing.
