What Is The Difference Between Stable And Unstable Perforation?

I have a perforated ear drum, I have had this since I was 7 I am 29 now, I have undergone several operations to fix the problem however the drum keeps perforating. Can you tell me the difference between a stable perforation and an unstable perforation please??

Dear there is no medical terms like stable and unstable perforation. several causes of non healing perforation like infection or ear wax or entering if water in to ear etc..

please consult your ENT surgeon he will examine and treat you accordingly.
