What Is The Disadvantage Of Undergoing A Lasik Surgery As I Have A Myopia ?
Hello doctor . i would like to go for LASIC sergury, zyoptic procedure for my eye. i have myopia . left eye -2.5 D(Sph)+-1.5 D(cyl) and right eye -1.25(sph)-0.25 cyl. many times i have changed glasses. no glass is confortable for me. from 6 years i m wearing it. this problem started frm 6 months. getting pain near eyes n eybrows then back head . shall i go for LASIK? doctors said after lasik the power wont be zero. it would be -0.5 or 0.25.. and my eyes got scanned they said lasik can be done on my eyes. but i m scared little. wat are the demerits frm this surgery?

U have not mentioned about your age, which is also crucial in decision making. any way lasik is ideal for those cases where power of the eye remains constant (should not vary constantly). frequent change in D power is in fact contra-indication for lasik surgery...in your case frequent changes of glasses is mentioned hence take second opinion before going for surgery. with regard surgery, generally it is safer procedure with less side effects (provided done by expert), power wont become completely zero, but will help immensely to normalize vision with out the help of glasses.. u can also try for contact lenses.. take care...bye..

my age is 25.. from 4 months the number is same.. but i dont feel confortable. thirce a week i get headache.. when i go test it again.. the people who test they give same number with slight changes.. so i thought to go for lasik as it is permanent. which done by a computers and new technology..

To undergo LASIK PROCEDURE,your glass power should be stable for at least one year.Before lasik procedure corneal thickness measurement and one corneal scan has to be done then only it can be decided whether u can go for lasik or not.Make sure that ur headache is only bczof eye problem or any sinusitis problem.consult any ENT Specialist also .if ur eyes are ok on above mention factors the u can undergo lasik.
