Hi, Steroid injections should not be commonly or repeatedly used for nasal allergy symptoms. As you stated, there are side effects that can occur. You should consider allergy testing to find the exact cause of your allergies and try to avoid contact. Nasal sprays (topical steroids that would not be mostly absorbed) such as nasonex, flonase, rhinocort etc, may help. The use of an oral antihistamine/decongestant combination eg allegra d, zyrtec d, claritine d or benedryl d, would also help as well. Hope I have answered your query.
