What Is The Dosage Of Misoprostol And Mifepristone?

Hi, I m 5weeks 4days pregnant. My doctor suggested to take two tablets(from 2 kits)dosage of mefipristone on empty stomach. After 24hrs she suggested two tablets misoprostol vaginally early in the morning.After 4 hours she suggested two more misoprostol orally n after 4 hours again 2 tablets of misoprostol vaginally. After reading all questions I m totally confused. Do I need to take 2 mefipristone n 6 misoprostal from 2kits? Is it really necessary? N can I take misoprostal orally all the time?

Hi there, I have understood your concern and I will suggest you the best possible treatment options.

As such, there are various protocols followed for oral tablets used for safe MTP.

WHO, recommended it as follows,
under expert medical supervision, Tablet Mifepristone 200 mg stat and followed by 600 MCG of Misoprostol tablets after 48 hours, orally or sublingual or per vaginal.
Adequate cover with broad spectrum antibiotic like Doxycycline for 5 to 7 days.

I will suggest you to follow the above mentioned regimen or whatever your treating doctor has advised you.
