What Is The Effect For Pus Cells In The Urine During Pregnancy?

Hello doc,

Am nw 7months pregnant & done with my urine test - which shows as epethelial cells is 8-10hpf and that of Pus cells is 8-10. My weight is around 66.1 & 5.4"in height. Could you please let me know if this has any effects on my baby(mentally & physically) ?

See, I understand your concern. The readings of your urine test shows increased pus cells which is a sign of urinary tract infection or UTI. These are mostly bacterial infections and should be treated with antibiotics because the genital tract and urinary tract are in close proximity and urine infection may go to genital tract also. And specially during pregnancy the I'll effects are more.
I would suggest you to visit your gynaecologist and get a course of antibiotics done. Also take urine alkalinisers.
