What Is The Fastest Way To Cure Cold Without Taking Any Decongestants?

Hi, I have a cold and flew today from NYC to SFO; all the stuffiness went in to my ears! They are blocked now. I tried taking a decongestant; using my neti pot (which cleared my sinuses but not my ears), and sitting by a humidifier. I m trying not to take more decongestants, as they make me agitated. What else could I try?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It may be due to nasal congestion. For that do steam inhalation and Betadine gargle twice a day. Keep your self hydrated. You can take nasal saline drops locally.

Take hygienic food and water. Avoid allergens.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam Kale
