my 2.5 month old son has a hard lump, about the size of a large pea, on his right pinna. It is not in front of or behind the ear. It is ON his ear. It is noticeable from the front, as well as from the back of his ear. It is on the thinnest part of the pinna. It does not seem to be tender, as he does not mind if I press hard on the lump. I wondered if it were a cyst or something similar; but, to be perfectly frank, I am terrified that it could be something cancerous.
It may a dermoid cyst which may need an excision or may be just a cartilaginous mass. Just observe, if it is not growing in size, it is definitely not cancerous. But, an ENT surgeon may be seen for its excision.
