What Is The Itching In Inner Labia And White Discharge?

I am 20 years old and I have had really bad itching and burning on my inner labia. There aren't any bumps and my discharge has went from cottage cheese to white liquid like discharge. I've used monistat-1 day and the itching is now mild but I am still feeling some discomfort down there. I am just concerned if it was really a yeast infection or if it's something else.
