What Is The Itchy Red Bump With Pinkish Fluid At Mons Pubis?
I have a bump/smooth to the touch, that reoccurs from time to time on my mons pubis around the same area. They are not little clumps of bumbs, nor are they red or itchy. Its usually just one decent size lump. It is filled with whitish/pinkish fluid that eventually comes out most of the times. Iv been to the dr and have been checked for everything a while back. I am not sexually active, and havent been for years, but this is bothersome seeing how If I ever want to be again, I dont want to embarrassed. Iv heard of cysts and boils...could this be what i have... I dont believe it is an ingrown hair either?? please help
Hi. As per your case history you are having folliculitis. My treatment advice is - 1. Avoid razor and hair removal cream for hair removal at that part. 2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it. 3. Take a NSAID like ibuprofen for 5-7 days. 4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics like cefadroxil and azithromycin taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
