What Is The Life Expectancy After Aortobifemoral Bypass?

Hi, I had an aortofemeral bypass exactly 16 years ago. I m curious as to the life span of the bypass. I m 76 years old and continue having vascular problems. I am now having ischemic colitis attacks ( 2 in a one year period) and I understand a aortofemeral bypass can contribute to ischemic colitis. Thanks, Jean R.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if the procedure of bypass went uneventful then this is nothing to worry because post op event are the main that could tell us about the prognosis and in absent of this no need to worry about this, certain part of disease could remains there in form of ischemia and this is nothing to worry too, hope this information helps.
