What Is The Life Expectancy For 'MELAS Syndrome' Patient?

Good afternoon i am a school teacher and i teach special needs children and i just discovered that one of my students has melas syndrome and i have researched and learned alot but i am not able to find any information to pinpoint a life expectancy of people with this can you enlighten me please
