What Is The Life Expectancy Of A Person With 20% Heart Functioning?

my uncle is 57 years old.two times heart attack. two stant insert four months before. 15-20% heart working.dr says take one lit water in 24 hrs. severe breathing problem . after gap of two days always admit in cardio imergecy. what is his life aspectation?

I can understand your concerns.

Well its difficult to say. But if you ask about natural course of disease, its almost miserable. Kidneys get worse and worse with that little blood going to them. Ceatinine goes up. Heart weekens more and more. Nitrogenous wastes accumulation makes brain noxious. If he is diabetic too, its an added problem. Hypertension has another added impact on all of this scenario.

I wish all the best for your uncle. With proper care he may live pretty normal and good span more like a normal individual. Its all about care.
