Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Is The Life Expectancy When Diagnosed With Left Bundle Branch Block?
23 with a LBBB. I occasionally have cheast pain but was told its normal. No one is sure what has caused this. But I was just curious what the life expectancy is? And what life changes are recomended. And is it normal to have it so young. I am healthy otherwise.
In young and healthy people, left bundle branch block is rare. In older people with coronary artery disease, left bundle branch block is associated with greater risk of death. This is especially true for people with heart failure.Within 10 years from Left Bundle Branch Block (LBBB) detection, CV mortality was 50%; and at 18 years follow-up, only 11% of LBBB patients remained free of detectable CV abnormalities.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
