What Is The Link Between Fever, Sore Throat And Weight Gain?
Is there a link between low grade fever with sore throat and weight gain? I am a 57 year old female, fit and otherwise enjoying excellent health. I did break the 5th metatarsal - left foot and badly sprained my ankle in the new year which I have just completed physio for. I suffered a slight reaction during this time and had a lot of edema in my calf and foot was inflammed and very swollen.
Your suffering from sore throat may be viral in origin can cause fever body pains. But as such sore throat may not cause weight gain. You also mentioned about ankle sprain with edema. This edema may be due to cellulitis or deep venous thrombosis or due to dependent edema. Unless examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Keep limb elevated position, use pain relieving medication. If symptoms not improved please consult with your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
