What Is The Medication For Blister On Bottom Hole Of Belly Piercing?

Hi I have something that looks like a blister on the bottom hole of my belly button piercing and I think it has now popped. I recently started going to the gym so I put that down to how I got the blister in the first place (hopefully that is correct). It showed no other signs of infection as it wasn't sore to the touch just slightly red and leaking a water like substance like a blister has so no pus. What should I do now that it has popped to take care of it so that it doesn't get an infection.

Hi,

I can understand your concern for blister on bottom hole of belly piercing.

Do not try to even touch or pinch the area as can cause more aggravation of the problem and spread of the infection. This area is quite common to get infected very easily because of sweating and high bacterial proliferation.

I suggest you to take oral antibiotic such as ciprofloxacin or cefadroxyl 500 mg two times a day for 5 days to prevent secondary infection. For time being period you can apply antibiotic cream such as fucidin or mupirocin and take pain killer tablets such diclofenac or paracetamol.

Take care.
