What Is The Medication For The Fast Relief Of Cough And Cold?

Hello Doctor,
I have severe cough and cold from the past 2 days. Visited a doctor yesterday and have been prescribed antibiotics and cough syrup. My condition has not improved yet.Please prescribe me some medicine for fast relief as i'm fasting for Ramadan.

Thank you for the query with HCM cold is nothing but viral infection and cough is due to post nasal drip.though you use antibiotic or not cold will take minimum one week time and antibiotics are just for sympotomatic relief.if it is because of allergy better use anti histamines also.hope this is useful
