What Is The Normal Endometrial Thickness? Have PCOS. On Hormone Treatment. Can You Explain The Ultrasound Report

I have a few questions actually. What is the normal endometrial size? Had an ultrasound done recently it concluded that I indead had PCOS and the report stated my endometrial measurement was 5mm. I am on hormonal treatment for my irregular period. And my pelvic free fluid is 3.2 cc, what is it and is that normal? What does all of it mean for me?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

For a premenopausal woman like yourself the endometrium should be less than 10 mm. This means that your result of 5mm is ok.

Free fluid can be a normal finding in the pelvis. It can occur or increase in quantities during different parts of the menstrual cycles as hormone changes cause increase fluid production.

The two findings that you have listed do not not have any associated risk of complications for you.

I hope this helps
