Hello!
I recommend that you keep your HDL above 50 through increased exercise and consumption of fish or fish oil. Your triglycerides look fine. Your LDL should come down to below 100 - reduce saturated fat, eliminate trans fat, increase water soluble fibers (oatmeal is great, cheerios, skins of fruit, psylium fiber), eat only lean proteins. Your doctor also does a lifestyle assessment, takes genetics into consideration and looks at your blood pressure, weight, etc. before making his recommendations. I would follow your doctor's advice. Yours in health.
