What Is The Occasional Tingling In Face And Limbs?

For the past few weeks I have been getting a "tingling/creeping" sensation in various places on my face. Mainly nose and left cheek areas, but right cheek and around the eyes occasionally as well. Although there is no pain, it is very uncomfortable. I also have occasional tingling in my limbs sometimes although this is a lot less often. I am wary to go to my GP without some expert advice as I am afraid of being mis-diagnosed. Any advice?
