Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM,
The interpretation of pap smear is as follows:
1. There is presence of superficial and intermediate squamous epithelial cells. These cells are normal cells which line the cervix. These cells are normal and there is no evidence of cancer or pre-cancerous condition.
2. Presence of plenty of pus cells and cocco-bacilli suggest presence of infection or 'shift in vaginal flora'. This condition is treated with antibiotics which are directed against the infectious bacteria.
3. Trichomonas and fungus also cause infection in the genital tract however, these infections are absent.

Consult your gynecologist with Pap smear report.
A course of antibiotics is required.
The Pap smear should be repeated after completing the course of antibiotics.

Thanks and take care
