My Total Cholesterol level is 243 mg/dl which is arrived by Lipid Profile Testing. Is to so serious? How can I reduce the cholestrol? You should target you Total Cholesterol should be below 200 mg%. At the moment, the recommendations suggest Total Cholesterol below 200 mg%. But in near future the recommendation would be below 170 mg%.
Yes, there is always a long term risk of Coronary Artery Disease and its associated complications in people with high Total Cholesterol.
Yes, there are many natural ways to reduce your Total Cholesterol. One is decreasing use of animal fats and increasing use of natural fruits / vegetables in your diet.
Exercising 45 minutes a day on at least 5 days a week would help at lot in decreasing your Total Cholesterol. Fast walking / swimming / cycling are great exercises.
