What Is The Pain Behind My Knee When I Try To Straighten It?

Hi the back of my knee hurts when i move my leg from a bent position to straight and if i get on my knees i feel the pain in it too. It has been bothering me for a year now and it wont heal up. I am assuming i hurt it playing soft ball. i also feel it in my thigh and in my calf.
