What Is The Pain In My Ankle?

hi i woke up around five days ago in the morning. had terible pain around my ancle. could not put any weight on it, after two days it left my ancle and seem to have traveled to the left side of my left foot, it seems to be getting better. what could that be? its on my left foot im 60 years old i had the same problem about a year ago but only on my foot not my ancle. it lasted a weeek
