What Is The Pain In My Back That Radiates To Rib Cage?

Hi when ever I lie on my back or side for any length of time I get a pain over my back, that then refers down the back of my rib cage, around to the front of the rib cage, into the stomach and solar plexus. No one's been able to tell me why or how to treat it, so what could be causing this? Thanks
