What Is The Pain Medication Given After An Appendectomy?
Yes. My father was deathly allergic to a pain medication given to him through IV after an appendectomy about 60 years ago. It wasn t morphine. His current cardiologist is asking if he is allergic to any meds. I can t remember the name of it but would if I heard the name. Can you help me?
Almost all the pain killers cause allergic reaction in some one or other. But in my practice I have seen most cases of DICLFENAC reacting to more cases than other. But I wonder if it was there then.Aspirin,Or Indomethacin or ibuprofen are old and common analgesic antiinflammatory. Acetoamenophen is also used as analgesic with comparetively less chances of side effect. It may be Pathedine if you can recall.
