What Is The Pain On The Outside Of The Neck?

My neck has been achy, on the outside, for about two days now. There is no pain on the inside i.e. swallow. All the issues are on the outside. When i touch around my glandular area or move my neck, feels almost 'flu like'. Please give me some advice! Thank-you very much!

It is possible that you may have either adenitis (inflammation of the lymph nodes in the neck from any acute inflammation or infection including tooth), or salivary gland enlargement (which can be again from inflammation) or simply muscular pain. I would suggest seeing a primary care doctor to have it examined.
