What Is The Painful Lump In The Testicle Of A Child?

My 10 year old is complaining that his right testicle hurts really bad. I had him check for lumps and he felt something so awkwardly I had to check.. At the top of the testicle it feels like there's something and when touching it he is in agony.. What could this be??

welcome to Health care magic.
1.It could be any thing starting from a cyst / collection of fluid within the sac / mass arising from the testis / bulky epididymus.
2.One can not presume what it is, and its with a paediatric patient.
3.Suggest you to see your GP and get a scrotal ultrasound scan done. which will give the exact picture where the problem lies.
4.One can not wait until the things get complicated, you have noticed some thing abnormal , get clarified as soon as possible.

Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health.
