What Is The Possibility Of Tampon Moving Inside The Uterus?

I went to the Dr. today to have an issue checked out concerning the possibility of a light tampon being stuck inside my vagina. I drank too much last Saturday and my boyfriend tried to have intercourse with me but unsuccessfully. The next morning, there was no sign of a tampon. I searched myself and my Dr. did today but she advised she didn't see anything yet didn't sound 100% sure. Is there any possibility a tampon can be "lost" inside me? I've been reading stories online and am scared.
