Hello, my daughter has triple pregnancy, One of the twin baby get less blood supply fro a placenta and doctors planning to do a special procedure, ? what it procedure name and what could be done to redirect placenta blood flow and it to be even bet. twins.

Sometimes there is a transfusion of blood from one twin to the other through the connection that is shared. At other times, the placenta ages prematurely and is unable to provide the essential nutrients to the fetus. When there is a transfusion, therapeutic amniocentesis and laser coagulation of the blood vessels that link the circulation to the twins in the placenta(s) is the method adopted to reduce complications. With premature ageing, nothing much can be done. Hope this helps.
