What Is The Prognosis For A Normal Life Post Colon Cancer Surgery?

My mother had an operation 3 months ago for stage 3 colon cancer. She is 82 years old and has been given no chemo. She is planning for a reverse ilieostomy in the next few weeks. She also had by pass surgery 3 months before this happened. In your opinion, what is her prognosis for a normal life again?

stage 3 colon cancer has good prognosis, chance of recurrence is less and there is good chance that she can lead normal life. but she needs to be under regular follow up once in 3 months with USG abdomen and CEA levels to monitor for any recurrence
