What Is The Prognosis For One With A Non Functioning Liver?
My brother has stage 4 colon cancer. His cancer has spread to his liver and lungs. After several chemo treatments all tumors have shrunk significantly, but now he was told today that his liver has stopped working. How long can he live without a functioning liver?

Your brother is suffering from stage 4 colon cancer.
Treatment at this stage consist of palliative chemotherapy
But as his liver is not functioning he may live for only 3 to 6 months more.
