What Is The Prognosis For Recurring Swelling In The Toes Of Left Foot?

3 middle toes swollen on left foot. 3 months now.high acidity blood says it s gout. Sometimes it feels like walking on a golf ball ,but this comes and goes. Have also been on high inflammatory pills. As well as being using Allopurinol 100 mg tablets for a week .With no change in symptoms.I think it s a form of Arthritis? Not sure .What Medical process will diagnose correct problem. I m 45 years old and work on trains. So walk up and down a lot. Thanks.

Hello,

It can be gout taking count of your symptoms and of increased uric acid levels in body. Continue taking allopurinol and add more water. Also, use anti-inflammatory drugs such colchicine.
