Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
A week ago, my wife (52) had incredible pain and her ankle swelled up so much we had to have her taken by EMS to the ER. They observed her overnight treating her with antibiotics, colchicne and narcotic pain relievers. They lanced the ankle for fluid to see if it might be a gout of some kind (pseudo) but there there were no crystals in the culture. Since then, she was discharged Tuesday and has experience deep pain in other joints (shoulder, neck, wrist, fingers). We have yet to been given a definitive diagnosis. What is your thought? She is still in high degree of pain now. Thanks.

What Is The Prognosis For Severe Pain In Joints?
In my opinion she may be suffering from Rheumatoid arthritis, hence she needs to be tested for it to rule out this condition to begin with.
