What Is The Prognosis For Signs Of Leukemia?
I am very worried about my 27 year old sister she has all the signs of leukaemia. She went to her gp the other day for a blood test but they said they need to take another. I really concerned as I don't want to lose her. She has lost weight, says she is tired all the time and sometimes she has blood when she wipes her self and for the last week or so she said that she has been waking up with blood around her mouth. And other symptoms. If she had it what would it mean to her.

She should go for complete blood count, peripheral smear examination and bone marrow examination. Only this investigation gives perfect idea whethet she is suffering from leukemia or not. And if she has leukemia then which type of leukemia she have.
Prognosis depends on the type and stage of leukemia.
So go for blood testing.
Second thing is that she might have some other illness like tuberculosis. From symptoms only we can not conclude any thing with perfection.
So consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly.

there is no substitute for a lab report giving diagnosis. these symptoms might be due to other conditions as well [like liver problem, aplastic anemia and so on..]. do a confirmatory test then only think for it. anyway, leukemias at her age can be cured as well.
